* JOB SUMMARY: *
The Manager of Program Management works directly with the Director for programs in support of the program and aircraft. The Program Manager has overall responsibility cfor the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program, products, and projects. Will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the Product and Project Managers. Must be able to coordinate proposals, develop statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs along with negotiation and administration of costs; ability to work directly with internal and external customers, along with suppliers to improve the overall performance of the fleet. The Program Manager goals rely ultimately on the success of the overall program, which may include many products and projects. The Program Manager will represent a large cross-functional organizational initiative (i.e. engineering, supply chain, logistics, finance, contracts, manufacturing, quality, training, etc.), and leads an integrated team of project managers, and product managers who own different impacted components of the program.
* JOB RESPONISBILITIES * :
Results-driven with strong focus on delivering programs on time and at or under budget, meeting technical and all other requirements while meeting or exceeding customer expectations
Interface with customers, subcontractors, and supplier counterparts regarding product on a daily basis
Plan and execute program with associated products and projects according to established milestones and schedule to meet contract obligations
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally
Participate in and provide metrics and briefs to various levels of management as required
Support Capture Management, prepare Statements of Work, technical and cost proposals in the pursuit of new requirements
Prepare labor and material bid estimates for project execution
Control project cost versus budget and be accountable for project profit/loss
Produce deliverables as required by the contract
Manage risk to projects for company and customer
Supervisor and guide individual contributors at different levels of the program management.
Qualifications
* EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: *
Bachelor degree required in
Business Management
Engineering
Related field
Program/Project Management certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of relative experience required
Supervisory experience is preferred
3 years of program/project management experience is preferred
* QUALIFICATIONS: *
Experienced with Microsoft Project for task scheduling
Ability to use Pro-Pricer
Ability to implement and manage other elements to support the product
Able to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions with only general direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adaptability in dealing with people who are technically focused as well as those focused on business processes
Strong commend of MS Office Tools
Cross-functional team work history
